My name is Scott. My friend Jacob and his partner Ginger were trying to start a lawncare business. They found what looked like a new John Deere Zero Turn rider mower from a person who claimed they had bought three machines but only ended up needing two. So they put this new but unregistered machine up for sale at $1,000 off the MSRP they claimed to have bought it at from the dealer. Turns out, this machine had been stolen from that dealer by fraud. The fraudster had used a stolen credit card. Jacob did not know any of that and tried to register his machine with John Deere for the warranty. This caused the police to come retrieve the mower and return the machine to the dealer it had been stolen from.

This left Jacob and Ginger out the $4,000.00 they thought they'd bought it for. All we are trying to do with this fundraiser is help them recover from this loss. To give them the chance to start their company as they dreamed of doing before this criminal defrauded them of their set-up funds.
