On December 16th, our community lost someone truly special. Jaclyn Hamill was a devoted mother, a wife, a teacher, a neighbor, and a friend. She was a kind, caring person who gave so much of herself to others, especially her family and the children she taught.

Jackie passed away in a tragic car accident, leaving behind her husband and her five-year-old son, Walter Jr. There are no words that can make sense of this loss.

For Walter Jr., it means growing up without his mother. For her husband, Walter, it means facing each day without the partner he shared his life with. This is an unbearable situation for any family.

In our small Reed Farm community, losing one of our own so suddenly is devastating, so helping is the only way forward.

This GoFundMe was created to help support Jackie’s family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, immediate living expenses, and ongoing support for Walter Jr., including childcare, education, and everyday needs.

Our hope is to relieve some of the financial pressure and help give Walter Jr. the stable, loving future his mother would have wanted for him.
