To know him is to love him.
My sweet boy Jackson was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma this past April. The news has been devastating. He’s only 7 years old—I truly believed we had so much more time together.
Jackson is not just my dog—he’s my best friend, my safe place, and the love of my life. Through every hardship, he’s been by my side, giving me his unconditional love. Anyone who’s met him knows: he brings joy wherever he goes. I got Jackson as a 9 week old puppy, and he has been by my side since day 1. He traveled the country with me as a travel nurse for almost 2 years and has brought joy to people from coast to coast. He is also a therapy dog, going to local colleges to provide stress relief for students during finals week.
Right now, Jackson is undergoing chemotherapy. His prognosis is poor, but the treatments are giving us hope. His oncologist and I share the same goal—to give Jackson the best quality of life possible while continuing treatment. Thankfully, he’s been responding well so far.
However, the cost of his care is overwhelming. Vet bills add up incredibly fast, and while I do have pet insurance, it only covers a small portion of the expenses each year. The financial strain is real, but I’ll do anything I can to fight for more time with him.
Jackson still has so much life to live—and so much love to give. If you’re able to help, whether by donating or sharing his story, I would be endlessly grateful. Every bit of support means the world to us.
