Hi,
We all know Steve Ham and we know he will always go out of his way to help everyone. Now's our chance to return that favor.
Last week his son Jackson was given the opportunity to play at the Down Under Winter Classic baseball tournament on the Gold coast. It is the biggest age group baseball tournament in the southern hemisphere. From there he has been picked to represent the Australian region as an Aussie Drop Bear at the Cal Ripken World Series in Crown Point, Indiana, USA!
This is a huge opportunity for Jackson and an incredible accomplishment as he was competing in the under 12s category at only 10 years old for most of the season. He has achieved a fair bit this year:
• Played Division 1, club baseball with the Coomera Cubs (U12’s) and won their competition
• Made the division 1 Gold Coast rep side (U13’s) and placed third at the QLD state champs
• Was selected to the Brisbane Bandits all star academy (top 24 U12 kids from Brisbane and GC area)
• Finished runners up at the DUWC competition on the gold coast (U12’s)
• Being selected as one of the top 12 players to represent Australia at Cal Ripken World Series in the USA!
This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a young talented player, the culmination of many years of hard work, discipline, and effort. Steve and Jess are funding the opportunity and will be sending Jackson and Steve over there in only 2 weeks time to compete. The Daimler Team are passing the hat around to see what we can do for the Hams. If you can help, click on the link and send through a number you a comfortable with, every little bit gets Jackson a little bit closer to his dream.
