On Thanksgiving Day of 2024 after eating breakfast Jack told his family that he was not feeling good. EMS was called upon arrival they took his blood pressure. It was low then high then low again. So EMS said they must take him to the Hospital where they ran all kinds of tests, MRI, CT Scans, X-rays. They thought he had a Heart attack or a stroke. They found out I had a very bad lower Spine Infection.

At this point he was in a lot of pain. They placed a PICC line in him and for three months gave a Very Strong Antibiotic through the PICC line straight into the bloodstream twice a day. During that time, He was not allowed to get out of bed. The Infection was giving Him a lot of pain, so they kept him on morphine and oxycodone.

He got to where I could eat solid foods, they moved him to a rehab center where he stayed for a month. Because of atrophy had set in he had to learn how to walk again. He got to where He could walk with a walker, and they discharged him.

He came home and started physical therapy and occupational therapy to get His strength and balance back. He has been going through therapy now for almost 3 months. He is still not 100% as He was before he went into the hospital. He has always been real active. The only income He has is Social Security.
