We’re raising funds to help Jack—a bright, determined student who has faced more challenges than any young person should—get to college and build the future he deserves. Jack is homeless and has no contact with his parents. For the last two years, he’s worked incredibly hard to overcome these circumstances. He’s been accepted to the University of Southern Indiana (USI) and will begin classes this fall, but he needs just a little more help to make the transition.
Teachers and staff have been supporting Jack every step of the way: helping him with food, clothing, transportation, financial aid, a bank account, and so much more. Now, we’re asking for help with this final hurdle. Jack has orientation at USI in the summer but will need a place to stay in Indiana for the 15 days between orientation and move-in day. He’ll also need help covering the cost of his plane ticket to get there.
While we’ve set aside money to help cover food and transportation during that time, I simply can’t cover all of these expenses alone. That’s where we hope this GoFundMe can make a difference.
Anyone who’s taught Jack knows he’s not always easy to love—but sometimes the students who are hardest to love are the ones who need it the most. Jack is resilient, intelligent, and incredibly motivated to change his life for the better. We believe in him, and we want to make sure he gets the fresh start he’s worked so hard for.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Jack take one step closer to college and a better life. Please consider contributing or sharing this with friends, family, or anyone who might want to help a struggling student succeed.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
