Support Jack the Pigeon's Journey to Full Recovery

Last week, we took in an injured pigeon who had a broken femur. Yesterday he had his surgery where our vet found the injury was several days old. Sadly, some of the muscle around the break was already dying.

X-rays also showed several small pieces of metal in his crop and intestines. He may be suffering from metal poisoning and will need blood tests and follow-up X-rays in the coming weeks.

We have already spent over $2,000 on his surgery and emergency care. His recovery will take time, and he will need ongoing care, vet visits and blood tests.

Jack is a very adorable birdie that shows so much fighting spirit to stay alive and thrive.
