Hi, my name is Jack, and asking for help like this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I've always been someone who handled things. People often say i'm organized, energetic, and devoted to supporting my husband in all his work. We’ve always been a team, facing everything together.

But everything changed after I was diagnosed with cancer and faced a life-threatening emergency following gallbladder surgery where I was left internally bleeding. We unfortunately did not have insurance during this time. Since then, my life has been filled with pain, fatigue, and overwhelming brain fog. Most days, just getting through the day feels like a struggle. I’ve gone from being that vibrant, type-A personality to someone who now spends most of the day resting, struggling to manage the toll this illness has taken on my body.

We’ve drained our savings, maxed out our credit cards, and sold things dear to us to try and cover the endless wave of medical bills, treatments, and related expenses. Despite all of this, the costs keep mounting, and putting more pressure on my husband. He is doing everything he can to keep us afloat. More than anything, I want to ease that burden and give us some room to breathe.

This isn’t the life we imagined, and I never thought I’d be in a position like this. But I’ve reached the point where I can’t do it alone. I’m turning to anyone for help, big or small. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to stability and gives us hope that we’ll get through this.
