Support Jacklyn's Healing Journey

Hello Friends & Family,

My name is Jacklyn, and I want to share a deeply personal journey I’ve been on over the past few weeks—a journey that has tested my faith, strength, and spirit in ways I never imagined.
On March 24, 2025, I was admitted to the hospital with an inflamed gallbladder. I was told I needed a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery). Before the procedure, I informed the doctors that I was born with a rare condition called Dextrocardia Situs Inversus, meaning my internal organs are mirrored from their normal positions. It had never caused issues before, but I asked them to perform any necessary tests to ensure a safe surgery—especially because I was 2 months pregnant at the time.
I was warned about the risks. The doctors told me that the anesthesia and imaging tests could increase my chances of miscarriage. Through tears and prayer, I made the hardest decision of my life. I told them, “I can make another baby, but I can’t make another me.” I placed my trust in God and moved forward.
After surgery, the doctor said it was difficult due to my anatomy but felt confident it went well. I was sent home to recover. But by April 5th, my sister noticed I was jaundiced. I had severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. I was rushed back to the hospital.
That’s when things took a frightening turn.
They discovered that during the first surgery, my main biliary duct had been clipped twice, preventing bile from draining properly. This caused liver inflammation and life-threatening complications. I had to undergo multiple procedures: a catheter was placed in my liver, and then I had to have an EUS and ERCP. Ultimately, a specialist had to repair the damage in a complex 4–5 hour surgery to reconstruct my bile duct.
Following that, I needed an NG tube, oxygen support, and began the slow and painful process of relearning how to breathe, walk, and sit up. All this while being away from my 6-year-old daughter, fighting for my life.
Through it all, I leaned on God. I cried, I prayed, and I trusted Him. And He never left my side.
Now, after over a month in the hospital and four major procedures, I’m home recovering—but my journey is far from over. I still need 8 more weeks of recovery, and I’ve lost my income. My job informed me they can’t hold my position indefinitely. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong, but I need help.
I’m humbly asking for financial support to help cover my rent, basic needs, and medical support items like a walker and shower chair during this time. Anything helps—even just sharing this message. If you know of at-home job opportunities for when I’m ready to ease back into work, please let me know.
This is not easy for me to ask, but I believe in the power of community. I believe in God’s purpose for me. I believe healing isn’t linear—and it takes a village.
Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for standing with me in prayer and love. ❤️‍
