Our horse Jackie is a cherished member of our family, and recently she suffered a serious injury. We aren't sure how she got hurt, but she ended up with a fracture in her knee. She is currently being treated at the UF vet hospital, where she underwent surgery and had metal plates put in her knee to help her heal.

Unfortunately, her recovery has been complicated by a fungal infection, which has not only extended her hospital stay but will also double her medical bills. The infection means that she will have to undergo intensive antifungal treatment and the metal plates will need to be removed. She will require ongoing care and another surgery to give her the best chance at a full recovery.

We are doing everything we can to help her heal, but the costs are overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward her medical expenses, including the additional surgery and the care she needs to recover.
