My name is Ebony. I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting my mother, Jacqueline - better known as Jackie, who has been immobilized since June after being diagnosed with glomerulonephritis, a serious kidney condition that has caused her body to retain fluid. She has undergone rounds of chemotherapy and dialysis to help manage her condition. After spending two months in the hospital and an additional month in a rehabilitation facility, she has lost much of her mobility and now requires assistance to travel to her medical appointments and lab visits.

Unfortunately, transportation has become one of our biggest challenges. We’ve had to rent specialized vehicles for up to $500 a day, which has placed a significant financial strain on our family. We are hoping to raise $10,000 toward purchasing a handicap-accessible vehicle, which typically costs $20,000 or more, even for used models. Having this vehicle would make a tremendous difference in ensuring my mother can safely and comfortably get to her appointments without the heavy financial burden we currently face.

My mother has always been the type of person to help anyone in need—she’s fed many, cared for others as if they were her own, and opened her heart and home to countless people over the years. She is truly one of the sweetest, kindest souls, and to know her is to love her.
