Support Jackie’s Fight Against Cancer

I am Launa Radford and I am the youngest daughter of Jacqueline Jones-Turner. Back in August 2023, my mother had a tooth extracted from her mouth. Shortly after that, we began to notice swelling on the lower right side of her jaw. After several tests, what we originally thought was just an abscess, was determined to be a mass (tumor). On September 26, 2023 my mother was officially diagnosed with Stage IV sarcoma cancer. This is where the cancer attacks the soft tissues as well as the bones in some cases. The type of cancer she has is so rare, that only 50 people in the United States are diagnosed with it yearly. With this cancer being so rare, they are referring her to MD Anderson Cancer Center. in Houston, Texas to visit a sarcoma specialist. As a result of this unexpected life event, I am setting up this GoFundMe, on behalf of my mother, to assist with travel from Arkansas to Texas, lodging, meals, and anything else needed to make these next few months a little lighter for us. Jackie is a 51 year old mother, wife, sister, daughter, GiGi, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. The light of her life is my special needs sister, Lauren, who is 31 years old and has Down’s syndrome. We want to ensure that we are able to get my mom the best care to keep us here for her village a while longer. Anything donated is appreciated. Thanks.
