Hi everyone, my name is Betty Jensen and I have started this Go Fund Me on behalf of my long standing riding buddy Jackie Smith.

Some of you may have already heard what happened, but for those who haven’t—Jackie was involved in a freak accident that resulted in significant trauma to her back. She was initially taken to the hospital in Red Deer for evaluation, and after two days was transferred to Foothills Hospital, where she remains. She has since undergone spinal surgery to stabilize her spine with two rods, and is now beginning her recovery.

It’s been a really difficult time, but Jackie has been surrounded by so much love and support. Friends and family have been visiting, and it truly shows just how much she means to everyone around her.

We started this to try and take a bit of the weight off during her recovery. Whether it’s helping with medical needs, rehab, or just making day-to-day life a little easier while she heals, every bit will go toward supporting her.

Anyone who knows Jackie knows the kind of person she is. She’s been there for so many people, always cheering others on and bringing such a positive energy wherever she goes. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
