Many of you know me as an actress, singer, and storyteller devoted to bringing African American history to life for audiences and travelers in Memphis and beyond. Through tours, performances, and community work, I’ve always believed in the power of stories to inspire, heal, and connect us.

This past year, my own story took an unexpected turn. After a long and difficult hospitalization, I had to learn how to walk again. With determination and faith, I am back on my feet and even working again—but recovery is not an overnight process. Medical bills, living expenses, and the wait for disability benefits remain a heavy burden.
