Support Jackie Lynn Garcia Through Her Sarcoma Cancer Journey

In Fall 2023, my sister Jackie was diagnosed with liposarcoma, a rare form of cancer that has deeply impacted her life as a young adult. Despite this difficult journey, Jackie’s spirit of giving and advocacy has never wavered.

Jackie has long been a champion for underserved and underrepresented communities in Houston. She has served on boards such as the Latin Women’s Initiative and is the co-founder of Latinas in Tech – Houston Chapter. Even while navigating her own cancer diagnosis, Jackie continues to give back by serving on a local advisory committee for adolescents and young adults with cancer, ensuring others facing similar challenges feel supported and seen.

Now, Jackie needs our help. The 20-pound tumor caused significant mobility challenges and pain to her body, and she faces a long road of ongoing scans, tests, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. These medical expenses can be overwhelming for my sister, and our family is asking for support to help Jackie focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress in the upcoming year.
