Support Jackie in the FIGHT for her life

Hi everyone,

 

My name is Carissa and I am Jackie Nelson's daughter. This journey with my mom has been trying. It has touched every emotion I have and has made me stronger. I look at my mom and all I see are angel wings. She is clothed in strength... it's like she wears strength like an armor. I have never seen someone face what she has faced throughout the years standing so tall and rooted in faith. She looks at me and says, "This will not break me. We will not give up because my time on this Earth is finished only when God says it is." This year has been hard on everyone. Everyone has an opinion, a hardship, a frustration, a worry, a broken relationship, etc. The list goes on... But what stands out to me in all of this, is how in just one single moment a person's life can be changed. Rocked actually. And how important relationships are with people you love. Even the people you don't, they too need love. Some of you know that my mom has had cancer three times in the past. With treatments of chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy. This fourth time she was given the news that her cancer has now become metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her liver, spine, ribs, and hips. She wants to fight like the warrior that she is, so we are exhausting all avenues both integrative and modern medicine to combat this cancer. She is so determined to beat this cancer and watch her grand babies grow up, her youngest daughter Alanah marry and have kids, and to move into her almost completed new home with her husband Tim. At age 56, no person should have to endure all that she has... she is and always has been a walking miracle. So now, I ask for you, if you feel lead to, to give to her fight. Costs of her treatment moving forward are going to be out of pocket and expensive and I want nothing more than to alleviate some of the stress off her plate of wondering how these costs will be covered.
