Howdy, my name is Jackalynn Rose. I was recently diagnosed with Metastatic Stage 4 Breast Cancer as well as Malignant boney Mastasis of the spine. I've been placed on palliative care as my diagnosis has no cure. I'm doing my best to stay positive and not let it beat me, but each day gets harder and harder. I have undergone several pin point radiation sessions, and because the cancer has progressed so far am unable to get a mastectomy of my breast. On any normal basis I am an active independent hard working woman. I enjoy spending time outdoors and creating art from scrap material as well as painting an an assortment of other things. I had been in the works of opening a business surrounded around my art called Deadwood Reclamation. But since my diagnosis and the toll it's has taken on my mobility, I am unable to do so. With the restrictions on my mobility and death of my service dog (a 160 lb cane Corso I called Beef Cake) who was sadly hit by a speeding vehicle back in December, an ongoing custody battle, not being able to work and having to have round the clock care it has been a humbling experience in life to not be able to take care of myself by myself and depend on others for help. That being said, I have applied for disability and am currently awaiting approval of my disability claim. Until the claim is approved I am in desperate need of financial assistance for bills and being able to afford a vehicle to get to and from doctor appointments and visitation with my son. I would also like to be able to get a service dog. Beef Cake was a gift to me and I personally can not afford to buy another.
The help given through this GoFundMe will help tremendously at this time by allowing me to feel comfortable about my future and my ability to take care of myself. I have never been one to ask for help, but have always lent a hand when needed. So being able to reach out and ask for help as well as accept the help giving has been a life changing experience.
To those of you who choose to donate to help support me through this journey, thank you! It means the world to me and restores my faith in humanity.
