Support Jack Strycker's Battle Against Brain Cancer

My name is Jason Reece and I have started this Go Fund Me for Jack Strycker and family. I've known Jack for several years and have worked for him on countless jobs at his house. The hardships this family has gone through are unreal. Jack was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma in December 2023, and was declared cancer free May 2024. In July, his body started failing in small way that did not seem connected. He started seeing double, then his right eye closed and hasn’t opened since then. By mid August the eye quit moving. He is unable to see from that eye. The pressure in his head built up so his doctor ordered a CT of the head and MRI. That showed a 2 cm mass behind his right eye. He was still mostly able to work but didn’t work full days. The mass caused all sorts of issues. He could still function and drive when the pain wasn’t terrible. He saw his oncologist who sent him to a neurosurgeon in early Sept. He ordered more tests. The mass grew to 3 cm. By the time they made it to the follow up visit after the tests on Oct 1st, he hadn’t worked in a week. He could no longer drive. He needed a wheelchair to go to his appointments. The mass had grown even more when he did a scan the next day. It was now 4 cm and pushing into lots of nerves in his brain. He had stopped eating as everything made him very sick. Lindy finally convinced him to drink some boost just to have a bit of nutrition. He’s lost over 30 pounds that he didn’t have to lose. He lost control over his bodily functions. He had brain surgery Oct 10th at OU. He was released 36 hours later. The dr took as much as the mass as possible, but left the part in the sinus cavity as it is dangerous to operate there with all the nerves. He needs chemo/radiation to shrink the rest. He goes to see his oncologist Monday Oct 14th then will be a direct admit to Mercy. He cannot stand or walk, cannot use the bathroom, cannot eat, or do literally anything on his own. He was fighting Lindy and the nurses at OU when they were trying to help him. He has been combative once he got home. He doesn’t even know that he is fighting against his loved ones. Lindy has taken him to many appointments while they figured out what was wrong. And on top of all this, she lost her job as she was told she was unreliable with all the time she has taken off and will need to take off to care for Jack. The last thing that should be of concern is losing their house also. Any donations, any prayers, any shares I know they would greatly appreciate it.
