Hi, my name is Jack Near and I am starting my Eagle Project. For my project, I am building 2 rain gardens for my church.

Water runoff from roofs, driveways, and sidewalks accounts for 80% of the pollution to the local water table. Rain gardens are built with materials like compost, mulch, and plants that can tolerate soggy or dry conditions and naturally filter the water. One rain garden measures 20’x50’ and the other one is a teardrop 35’x35’.

I need to rent a rototiller, purchase mulch, compost, plants (over 650 needed), and food/water for the volunteers.

For every donation of $500 or more, I will list the names of large dollar donors on a plaque as a thank you for your generosity!
