Jack Kolbe is a security guard at my previous workplace, but he is no ordinary security guard! At 62 years old, Jack has endured more than most of us could imagine. Born with spina bifida, he has undergone over 63 procedures and surgeries throughout his life—his first surgery at 6 months old.
Jack’s more than 40 hospitalizations are not just a number—they represent his unwavering strength, resilience, and determination to persevere. Now, he is facing another daunting challenge: another hospitalization while awaiting the results of a biopsy on a newly discovered esophageal mass.
Jack’s journey has been long and painful, both physically and emotionally. Despite the hospital stays, procedures, and setbacks, Jack has never stopped fighting. But the toll—financially and medically—is immense. With limited mobility and the ever-present medical needs, he is in urgent need of financial support to cover the utilities, food, and living expenses for his family.
Please consider donating, sharing, or simply sending a message of encouragement. Every act of kindness makes a difference! If you are aware of any programs or assistance that may be available, please share this information. Most importantly, please keep Jack and his family in your prayers as they navigate this difficult time.
Thank you so much for supporting Jack!
With Gratitude,
Melanie
