You may recognize my dad, Jack Howerton—who goes by Jack—from working around Gloucester County. On 4/7/2026, my dad was in a serious trucking accident on Featherbed Rd. He was very lucky to have made it out alive, but he faces a long and difficult road to recovery. Jack suffered a broken neck at C6 and C7, fractures in his lower lumbar, almost every rib on his right side is cracked, and he needed 9 staples in his head due to a deep gash. Despite these serious injuries, Jack’s spirit remains strong, and he is determined to heal and get back on his feet.
Jack is known in our community as an extremely hard worker and father who is always willing to lend a hand. He’s the kind of person who never asks for help, but is always there for others—whether it’s fixing a vehicle, building something from scratch, or teaching younger men the skills of his trade. Now, as he faces weeks or even months of recovery, he needs the support of the community he’s given so much to.
Any donations will go toward helping Jack with his bills, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and his day-to-day living expenses until he’s able to return to work. Doctors expect his recovery to take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months if everything heals correctly. We would be incredibly grateful for anything you can contribute—even sharing this fundraiser would be a blessing to us. Thank you all for your kindness and support. May God bless you!
