Support Lauren after Jachin's death
Donation protected
Hi.
Jachin died on December 4th.
We wanted to give our community the chance to contribute to supporting Lauren who has been putting her love and money toward being with her partner, Jachin, in the last years of his life after being diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer at age 44.
We were generously gifted with meeting Jachin and Lauren through an end of life therapist who knew we were looking for someone on hospice to come speak to our group of young adults. We run a 30-day immersive camp for 18-27 year olds focused on rediscovering what thriving in this life can feel like, and knew that turning toward death is an essential aspect of appreciating this life. However, we couldn't have anticipated the beautiful, profound and life-changing nature of our time with Jachin and Lauren.
I can't encourage you strongly enough to take in this incredible 10min video from our time together, linked above.
Jachin and Lauren didn't know how many days or weeks they had left together and the intensity of their love and commitment toward cherishing their time together was an unbelievable teaching. Lauren has recently been laid off from her school teaching job because of her commitment to taking care of Jachin and is living with incredible uncertainty. The money raised will go toward medical bills for Jachin and support this massive life transition for Lauren.
With our deepest gratitude and honoring of you Lauren and Jachin for sharing so incredibly and fully your wisdom, pain, love, and humanity.
Thank you.
With love,
