Support Jacey's Fight Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Donation protected
Jacey is a kind-hearted 17-year-old with a bright future ahead and has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Several weeks ago, she began the first round of chemotherapy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where her care team is also exploring the possibility of an immunotherapy clinical trial as part of her treatment.

Jacey recently finished her first series of chemotherapy and had a follow-up PET scan this past week. While some of the cancerous areas showed a positive response to the treatment, other areas did not show the response the oncology team was hoping for. These very active areas have dictated that they move to a more aggressive treatment that will include adding radiation and increasing the strength and frequency of the chemotherapy. This will require Jacey to be away from home and stay at Mayo Clinic for longer periods of time over the next several months.

Jacey is incredibly strong, but the journey ahead is long, uncertain, and overwhelming—both emotionally and financially. Before her diagnosis, Jacey planned to graduate high school early and work to save up for college. Unfortunately, the physical toll of treatment is making it difficult for her to work as often as she had planned. Despite these challenges, Jacey remains determined and hopeful. She enjoys reading, journaling, and spending time with her birds. She dreams of going to college to become a social worker, so she can support others through their own life challenges—just as she now faces her own.

This fundraiser will help support Jacey and her family as they navigate this challenging time. Funds will go toward medical expenses not covered by insurance, as well as travel costs to and from Mayo Clinic, which is several hours from their home, and other unpredictable expenses related to her care.

Jacey and her family are grateful for all donations, no matter the size. These help lift some of the weight off Jacey and her family's shoulders so they can focus on healing and hope. Jacey and her family are grateful for all the kind words of support they have received. If you’re not able to give, sharing this with your network means the world to us.

Thank you for walking beside Jacey in this fight.
