In mid-February, Christina and Roger received the dreaded news that no parent wants to hear: their four-year-old daughter, Isabella (Izzie), has Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Those that know Izzie, know that she is a smart, energetic, sassy little girl that lights up any room that she enters! She keeps everyone on her toes (including the doctors and nurses that tend to her at CHOP!).

Fortunately, with a team of incredible doctors and nurses, her brave and loving parents and grandparents, and Izzie's fierce warrior spirit, Izzie is responding well to her treatments and has been able to return home to continue her battle.

However, her journey is far from over. Over the next several months, Izzie will be back and forth between home, doctors' offices, and CHOP. As the medical bills begin to roll in, Roger and Christina will both have to step away from work to focus on their most valuable treasure. Christina will be forced to take unpaid leave, and she will need to pay into the family’s health insurance to keep it. Due to Izzie’s condition, she isn’t able to attend school, and if Roger doesn’t work, he doesn’t earn pay.

Donations will help with the mortgage, and health insurance, and help Roger not have to choose between work or going in and helping Christina with doctor appointments, treatments, and caring for Izzie.
