Angel and David are the loving parents of their beautiful daughter, Iyla, who is just 1 year old and the youngest of their three children. Iyla is the sweetheart of the family fun, loving, and full of joy. She brings so much light to everyone around her.

Over the past few months, we began to notice changes in Iyla. She was slowly losing weight, struggling to eat, becoming extremely tired, losing her appetite, and experiencing eye twitching. She was no longer able to be active and enjoy life the way a 1 year old should. After many tests and hospital visits, our family received devastating news last week: Iyla was diagnosed with an Ocular glioma - pilomyxoid astrocytoma (brain tumor).

Since then, Iyla has been hospitalized and has already undergone brain surgery. By God’s grace, the surgery was successful, and doctors were able to remove 20% of the tumor, which helped relieve pressure on her brain and improve her vision. Yesterday she underwent another Brian surgery where a ventricle shunt was placed in her head to drain excess fluid from her brain into her stomach. Once her little body grows stronger, Iyla will begin Chemotherapy .

This journey is just beginning, and the road ahead is long. Between medical care, treatments, hospital stays, travel, and everyday needs, the financial burden on Angel and David is overwhelming.
