For those that don’t know, Ivey was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect when McKayla was 18 weeks pregnant. What she didn’t know was shortly after Ivey was born, she would go into heart failure and need a new heart. Ivey eventually received the VAD, which is basically a mechanical heart to help her heart pump until she can get her new heart. Ivey has been on the transplant list for 159 days now and counting. Although her parents have been fortunate enough to be at the hospital with her, it has became hard financially. They have been there for 200 days so far.
