My dear friend Ivette is facing an incredibly difficult time right now. Her son Alex recently underwent major surgery and will need care during his extended recovery. As any parent can imagine, her world has stopped so she can be by his side every step of the way.

Because of this, there is a financial burden since Ivette will need to take time off work without pay. Costs between hospital stays, travel, meals away from home, regular bills, and additional costs insurance won’t cover will become overwhelming.

I’m starting this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden so she can focus on what matters most — being there for Alex’s healing and recovery — without worrying about how to make ends meet.
