Ivery’s journey has been incredibly difficult. Known as “The Train” when he played football, Ivery has always been strong and determined. He’s now facing the game of his life with the same spirit. After being misdiagnosed with the flu and bronchitis at a previous hospital, his health rapidly declined. It wasn’t until he was at death’s doorstep that he was finally diagnosed with Primary B Cell Lymphoma Cancer at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. By then, the cancer had spread to his chest, kidneys, bone, and blood, and he had to begin aggressive chemotherapy immediately.

We have already gone through one round of chemo and 33 1/2 days in the hospital. Ivery remains optimistic and believes in the Lord GOD with all his heart. He now faces five more rounds of treatment, each requiring a week-long hospital stay. He can no longer work, and someone from our family must be with him during each hospital stay. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, but we remain hopeful and believe that God is always in the miracle business. We trust and believe for total healing for Ivery.

The funds raised will help cover Ivery’s medical bills, transportation, and food as he undergoes treatment. While he does have short-term disability through work, it only covers a fraction of his previous income, and he cannot work for the next five months.
