Introduction:

Dear Friends and family,

We are reaching out in a time of desperate need. Iverson, our 2.5 month old, has an infection in his lymph node on his face, and our journey to get him the care he needs has been overwhelming. We are currently seeking treatment at a specialized hospital two hours away from our home, which has brought unexpected challenges and financial burdens.

Our Story:

Iverson was recently diagnosed with an infected lymph node, a condition that has been painful and requires immediate and specialized medical attention. Our local hospital couldn’t figure out why or what was causing it, leading us to seek the opinions of a children’s hospital in Nashville, over two hours away from home. At this point we are not sure when we will be released to come home as they are still trying to find the cause of the infection and how to properly treat it, possibly needing surgery.

Why We Need Your Help:

This sudden health issue has caused quite a bit of stress. Julian had to leave his jobs to be with our other kids during this time as I stay with Iverson at the hospital. The hospital is far from home, adding travel and accommodation expenses to our growing list of concerns. With Julian unable to work, as our sole provider, our financial situation has become dire.

We are struggling to cover:

* Travel costs to and from the hospital

* Temporary accommodation near the hospital

* Medical bills not covered by insurance

* Everyday living expenses while we are unable to work
