Support Ivan Nieto’s Family After Car Accident

On July 3rd, Ivan Nieto (LCHS class of 2017), his wife Amisadai Galindo, and their 6-year-old daughter Maggie were involved in a devastating car accident in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The crash left the entire family hospitalized with serious injuries. Maggie is now facing the difficult journey of learning to walk again after suffering a ruptured intestine and broken spinal vertebrae. Amisadai, age 25, is recovering from a fractured spinal cord, while Ivan is still hospitalized with a broken foot, broken ankle, broken pelvis, and has undergone hip rotation surgery.

This accident has turned life upside down for Ivan’s young family. With Ivan as the primary provider and now unable to work, the family is struggling to cover mounting hospital bills, ongoing therapy, and daily living expenses. Maggie’s rehabilitation will be a long process, and both Ivan and Amisadai face their own challenging recoveries.
