Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m raising funds for my dear friend and co-worker, Ivan Cruz, who is going through an incredibly difficult time.

At just 43 years old, Ivan recently had to undergo unexpected emergency open heart surgery. This has turned his life upside down in an instant. As a self-employed hair stylist, he’s built his career with his hands and heart — literally giving his clients confidence and care every single day. But now, he’s the one in need of support.

Because he’s self-employed, Ivan doesn’t qualify for TDI (Temporary Disability Insurance), and he will be out of work for at least 3 months while he recovers. This means he will have no income during this healing time and is facing the stress of mounting bills on top of his health challenges.

All funds raised will go directly toward his living expenses — rent, utilities, food, and medical bills — so he can focus on what matters most: healing and getting back on his feet.
