For six beautiful years, our sweet red nose pit bull Iszabella has been more than just a dog, she has been family, comfort, healing, and unconditional love wrapped into one loyal soul.
We adopted Iszabella after she had already been through more pain than any animal should ever know. She came from a life of abuse, scared of the world and unsure if humans could ever be trusted. But from the moment she came into our home, everything changed, not just for her, but for us too.
Slowly, with patience, kindness, and so much love, Iszabella blossomed into the most gentle, affectionate, and loyal companion anyone could ever ask for. She helped my children learn compassion, responsibility, and the meaning of unconditional love. She has been there for every cuddle on the couch, every hard day, every moment when we needed comfort the most.
To us, she isn't “just a dog.”
She is our protector, our shadow, our emotional support, our family member.
Now our world has been turned completely upside down.
Iszabella has been diagnosed with pyometra, a severe and life-threatening infection in the uterus. It progresses quickly and can become fatal if not treated immediately. The only way to save her life is emergency surgery, and the cost is far more than our family can manage on our own.
Watching her go from her happy, loving self to being in pain has completely shattered our hearts. My children are devastated seeing their best friend suffer, and as a parent it’s unbearable not knowing how to fix it right away. She has given us six years of unconditional love after surviving abuse, and we cannot imagine losing her now when she still has so much life and love left to give.
Iszabella deserves a chance. She deserves to keep living the life she fought so hard to have. She deserves more years of belly rubs, walks, cuddles, and being the center of our little family.
