Hi Family and Friends,

I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Issac and his girlfriend, Kylie. Their son, Grimm (10 months old), has unexpectedly been hospitalized this week with various illnesses. Grimm is a happy, sweet, and super smiley baby who has been an absolute warrior trying to get better.

"Grimm got sick on Halloween just with runny nose and a cough and he had a 9 month check up the same day where his doctor said it was nothing serious. Two days later, he was having fevers of 104.5 and a lot of pain and discomfort and I took him to the ER where they ran the basic tests and cleared him again. Two days after that, he still had high fevers but now he had a rash all over his body and was in excruciating pain to the point where he could barely even be adjusted and was not really moving. He started to look pale and was struggling to breathe so I rushed him to the ER again.

This time he was rushed into critical care almost immediately. I was told he appeared to be in respiratory heart failure and would need to be airlifted to a special PICU unit hours away so he could have pediatric cardiologists see him. They told me that he might code on the chopper and to be prepared for the worst.

He is now here, intubated, sedated and stable but they have been running tests and have discovered that he is going through endocarditis, bilateral pneumonia and septic emboli. Basically he has MRSA in his blood that was causing septic shock and it has now traveled to his heart and lungs. They are saying he will be hospitalized for a minimum of 6 weeks.

I say all of this because I know people care about us and I just want to put it out there. Please keep my baby in your prayers and thoughts. Whatever you believe, just throw some healing energy our way "
