Some may remember Isaac as Fairy Butch, a pivotal figure in San Francisco's queer and trans culture in the 1990s and 2000s. His widely-acclaimed achievements include:
o Producer and emcee of over 350 iterations of his popular and edgy erotic cabaret, In Bed with Fairy Butch.
o Author of his internationally-published sex advice column of the same name.
o Emcee on many Pride, Dyke March, and Trans March stages.
o Emcee of more than 250 community benefits.
o Author of The Ultimate Guide to Strap-On Sex, which was in print for 14 years and sold 40,000 copies.
o Podcaster before podcasts were a thing.
o Sought-after interviewee appearing on radio shows and in publications worldwide.
o Teacher of the wildly popular class, Lesbian Sex Tips for Men.
o Educator who deftly used light and campy humor to provide accessible gender and sex information to tens of thousands of people of all stripes.
At age 40, Isaac was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since been disabled by 46 medical conditions that include diabetes, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis, severe depression, and other health challenges. Now, turning 60, Isaac takes meds 12 times a day and keeps about 10 medical appointments per week. He is unable to work, living on a fixed income, and in imminent danger of having to leave the city he's loved and lived in for 40 years.
After giving so many years of his life to help others, Isaac urgently needs our help. The $32,000 fundraising goal would go towards eliminating the housing and food insecurity Isaac currently faces.
