Gondor calls for aid!

My name is TK Tucker and I started this gofundme for my friend, editor, and fellow author Isla Elrick and her partner, Faust. They are in a dire housing situation and need our help in order to move.

Due to continuous negligence on their landlord's part, mold has been unknowingly spreading in their rented home and making them extremely ill. Isla's partner has pneumonia that hasn't responded to four rounds of antibiotics. Faust was at the hospital just yesterday with a strained/pulled ligament between her ribs from coughing so much. Pneumonia that doesn't respond to antibiotics is terrifying and can be fatal.

Isla has a hard time asking for and accepting help, but I've seen what the bookish community can do for one of their own. Donating even just a 1$ or sharing this on social media could help us get them out of that house. Donations will cover the costs for first/last month's rent, security deposit, any pet fees, and a U-haul rental.

Isla is a queer author of dark fantasy romance with gothic vibes and queer representation. As an editor and as a volunteer with FaRo Society, she has helped plenty of others with their bookish goals. She also recently put together a fundraiser for Palestine and raised over 2200$ for Watermelon Sisters, a nonprofit organization that offers direct emergency aid in Gaza. She is an unfaltering advocate for human rights, the best cheerleader, and she's always down to share her hyper-fixation research topics ranging from sloths to Irish-American history.

Faust is Lakota and works as a police dispatcher for the Indian Island Reservation. In six days, she should be celebrating a momentous occasion and walking for her graduation for her degree in Anthropology, but she is still suffering from months-long pneumonia.

They also have two amazing doggos, Drax and Buffy. Isla and her little family deserve a safe and mold-free home.
