We’re thrilled to share that Isis has been awarded $4,000 in scholarships, allowing us to lower our fundraising goal! We’re still waiting to hear back from other opportunities, but this generous support is already making a huge impact.
These funds will help cover key expenses like travel, a train pass, dining (her school does not have a cafeteria), and warm clothing since we live in Tampa and don’t own any sweaters!
Isis is a decorated scholar and community leader. She currently serves as the President of Citizens for Health Equity, a nonprofit organization. With a 4.2 GPA, she is an award-winning writer, a Scholastic Gold Key recipient, and has worked alongside Congressman Maxwell Frost and Senator Anna Eskamani to advocate against flavored tobacco.
Her long-term goal is to study in Japan and examine their systems of care, particularly how they support their youngest and oldest populations, to bring those insights back home.
We are deeply grateful to our current donors and thank you all for your continued support as Isis embarks on this incredible journey!
