Support Ishwara Grant's Heart Surgery Journey

Hello community,

My name is Ishwara Grant and I am asking for assistance from our collective pools of resources to aid in my upcoming journey re: a heart valve replacement.

I was diagnosed at birth with a congenital heart defect known as an interrupted aortic arch (IAA). In total, I’ve had four surgeries during my life because of my condition including the implantation of a metal heart valve. Despite these efforts, I’ve struggled with persistent autoimmune symptoms that have only worsened as I’ve gotten older. My condition implicates my day to day life as I am often physically incapable of carrying out ordinary activities.

I have an upcoming surgery for my heart, with a pre op scheduled on the 5th of September.

I am reaching out for assistance as I have seen the power of voicing our struggles and the inherent revolutionary spell that is mutual aid. This journey has been overwhelming, both physically and emotionally and the financial strain of ongoing medical treatments, surgeries, and living expenses has become too much to bear alone. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me cover the costs of my medical care and daily living expenses during this difficult time.

With the 8k goal I’ve presented, I’d like to cover:
