Support Isabelle Flack's Hurricane Recovery

Help support sweet Isa as she recovers from the challenges brought on by Hurricane Helene!

My name is Laurel Lee, and I’m fromJacksonville, FL. I’m organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend, Isabelle Flack, whose home was tragically destroyed in a landslide in Vilas, North Carolina, during Hurricane Helene.

Please read her story below:

"My beautiful, special home in Vilas, North Carolina was destroyed in a massive landslide on Friday from Hurricane Helene. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been in the one room that was not crushed in. I was able to escape through a window after it stopped and run like hell.

I risked it all to go back and find my sweet kitty. We found her safe and unharmed under my bed in my sideways room. Bunni and I are with loved ones, reeling from our loss and that of our beloved surrounding communities.

My car and all of my belongings are unretrievable. So many things are replaceable and yet, so many things are not. From deodorant to socks, my grandmother’s quilt, reading glasses, photos, all of my furniture, my new bike, art and knick knacks collected over the years that hold so much meaning.

The surrounding community and friends have been all I can rely on right now & I have been so grateful. It feels so strange to ask for help but it will take me, and so many others so long to rebuild.

These funds will be used to replace essential items in the short term and support future relocation and transportation needs.
