Hello everyone,

My name's Isa and I’m currently a junior in high school. This summer, I have been selected to attend The Island School—a six-week immersive program that’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, located in Eleuthera, The Bahamas.

At The Island School, I’ll explore a unique and diverse environment of the sea's biodiversity, engage with people worldwide alongside educators and scientists, develop a sense of place, unplug from my devices, and challenge myself through creative learning and hands-on experiences using sustainable practices. This program means so much to me, and I’m excited to grow as a dedicated learner in ways I never have before, giving me the opportunity to explore research-based education to determine my future steps in pursuing higher education.

I wanted to reach out to my community because you all mean a lot to me, and your support would help me to pursue the honor of being selected for this program. I’m working to raise $15,000 by the 21st of March to make this dream a reality, and any amount of support would be deeply appreciated—every contribution helps! I am also working at a crêperie and babysitting to accomplish my dream of participating in this program!
