Support Isaias Guevara's Heart Transplant Recovery

Hi everyone,

My name is Ireyna Chavez, and I am one of Isaias Guevara’s daughters. In July 2023, during a missions trip to Ecuador, my father suffered a heart attack—an event that changed our lives forever. His health rapidly declined, and for over a year and a half, he struggled with a heart functioning at only 20%. I watched as he fought to breathe, eat, and simply get through each day. Through it all, he clung to faith, hoping for a miracle.

That miracle came. My father received a life-saving heart transplant, and we are beyond grateful to see him living again. This is a blessing we will never take for granted, and we give all glory to God for His mercy.

However, the journey is far from over. My father was released from the hospital on January 15, 2025, but per his doctors’ orders, he had to stay within 30 miles of UCSF for constant monitoring, labs, and emergency care. Initially expected to remain in San Francisco for eight weeks.

UPDATE: Thanks to the Lord as of today 2/11/25 my dad has returned home.

However the financial burden remains.

With my mother, Jenny Guevara, as his primary caregiver, they now face significant medical expenses, food, and travel costs. I want to do everything I can to support them, and I am asking for your help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward my parents to ease this financial strain and allow my father to focus on healing.
