Please Help Support Isaiah Recover From His Uphill Battle W/ A Life-long Medical Condition.

Hi, my name is Isaiah Myles and I need your help. Ever since I was a teenager (13), I’ve been suffering from a condition called Lymphedema (Full body). Today I’m reaching out to you guys and asking for assistance and help in getting the necessary medical equipment and care that I need to regain a sense of normalcy.

Ever since I was diagnosed with Lymphedema, I have been struggling with my everyday tasks and situations. Since the progression of my condition, I've been struggling with mobility, inability to comfortably stand, walk, or bend for extended periods. I sometimes find myself struggling with shoes that fit. Even now, I find myself struggling to complete my workday without pain, and I am in constant pain to a degree. While coping with my physical challenges, some of my restrictions have since grown, but I fight every day to do the best that I can. Unfortunately for me, this is my normal.

My medical support system fell apart a few years ago, and I have been unable to get new medical equipment since I left the children’s hospital in my youth.

My Story:

When I was a teenager, I received life-changing news. I was diagnosed with full-body lymphedema after a series of blood clots in my femoral arteries. Ever since then, my family and I have been trying to keep up with the struggles of my condition. Unhappily, I am at a stage where I am unable to afford medical equipment and proper treatment as it is not covered by my insurance. I’ve been doing what I can to manage and upkeep good health; sadly, it isn’t enough to maintain on my own. Today I am reaching out to the community and those who are able and willing to assist me in my trying times.

What's Happening

Every day that I go on without proper medical equipment, is more a chance I'm at risk of losing my extremities due to swelling. I am trying to make due with what I have. However, as this equipment is years old and my compression is all worn & torn, it's almost nightmarish thinking about the day they finally give out.

In my time during this ongoing medical journey, I've already spent countless days and weeks on and off in the hospital throughout my youth. I wasn't able to achieve some of the dreams that I wanted when I was young. I wasn't able to go out and be in the outdoors, or find hobbies. I was inside on blood thinners and doing countless medical massages to keep my condition in check.

Currently, I'm hardly able to go on walks, or bike rides, or hang out with friends and family unless it's at a seated venue because the physical strain is too much on my body oftentimes. My goal is to overcome these struggles.

I'm asking for assistance in covering the costs of medical equipment, medications, and any other expenses directly pertaining to the goal of bettering my medical health and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I’ve been on the hunt for proper medical care and equipment for years. Since my medical equipment comes custom-made from Germany, the cost is high and more than one man can afford alone. I know that everyone is going through trying times, so it is with a heavy heart that I reach out and ask for assistance.
