Hello, thank you for stopping by. I'm Isabel, I'm 57 years old, and on June 18th, I was diagnosed with stage IIB pancreatic cancer and was a candidate for surgery after 8 cycles of Folfirinox. However, last month they discovered some peritoneal carcinomatosis metastases and two more in my liver, which means I am now at stage IV and not a candidate for surgery. I have a new treatment plan, and my oncologist is looking for a clinical trial I might qualify for. I'm still fighting to be cancer-free. The prognosis isn't good; according to my oncologist, I may have no more than a year, but I don't plan on dying anytime soon, so as long as there's life, there's hope, and I'm going to keep fighting. My body just needs time and peace to heal.
Despite being a hardworking, strong, and independent woman, my plan to work between chemo sessions hasn't been possible because recovery after each cycle is becoming increasingly difficult. The neuropathy is getting worse, with constant tingling in my hands, feet, and face. The fact that it's almost winter doesn't help much, and living with constant pain isn't easy. It's been a long struggle, and there's still a long way to go. That's why I'm here asking for your help so I can focus on continuing to fight this disease. Thank you for your donations and support. May God bless you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
