Support Isabel's Future After Ben's Passing

On December 23, 2024, the world lost a formidable source of light and laughter with the passing of Ben Mazal, at age 52. Ben will be remembered for his infectious enthusiasm, dry sense of humor, mischievous smile, and abundant affection for friends and family.

Above all, though, Ben, whose own father left an indelible mark when he cut ties with his young children, will be remembered as 18 year-old Isabel's adoring dad. While his death is incomprehensible, one certainty is that Ben would have wanted “his people” to come together to ensure his daughter's bright future in his absence. For this reason, we invite you to contribute in Ben's honor to a fund supporting Izzy’s educational and living expenses.

Additionally, we welcome Ben's extended community to an informal gathering to celebrate his life, and support Isabel and the rest of his family, including his wife, Eliza; mom, Patti and stepdad, Seth; and sister, Monica: upstairs at Avanti in Boulder , Saturday, February 1, from 5:00-9:00, following a private memorial service.
