Hello, my name is Mayra Manning. Isabel is not my sister by blood, but she is my sister in faith and in heart. I am organizing this fundraiser on her behalf during this time of crisis to help support her and her family as she faces a serious and life threatening medical crisis as she would do for anyone wholeheartedly, including me as well.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this. Even just being here means more than you know.
We are coming together to support our dear friend Isabel, a hardworking single mother whose life has been turned upside down overnight. Isabel is currently in the hospital facing a severe autoimmune flare that has become life threatening. Her blood count has dropped dangerously low, and she has developed a blood clot. Right now, her condition is unstable and there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding her recovery. This is a critical and deeply uncertain time for her and those who love her.
Beyond the hospital room, there are two young boys waiting for their mom. Andrew and Steven are doing their best to stay strong, but the reality is heavy. Their mom, their comfort, their stability, their everything, is suddenly not there. Andrew, the older brother, has been forced to grow up faster than any teenager should. While trying to process everything happening, he has stepped into a role no kid should have to carry. Working a part time job, doing what he can with the little time he has, and is putting what he earns toward helping his mom and supporting his family. At the same time, he is doing his best to care for his younger brother, trying to be present, steady, and strong for him. Steven, who is autistic, is especially struggling with the sudden change and separation. For a child who depends deeply on routine and familiarity, this has been incredibly overwhelming. Through it all, Andrew is doing everything he can to hold things together for his family, even while carrying the weight of it himself.
Isabel has always been the one holding everything together. She is the main provider for her family, working hard through pet sitting jobs to make ends meet while also being a full time, devoted mother. Now, everything has come to a halt. Through all of this, Isabel has remained strong in her faith. She has always leaned on Jehovah during difficult times, and her friends and loved ones continue to keep her in their prayers, holding onto hope and strength alongside her. At this moment, the focus is not just on helping Isabel survive this crisis, but helping her family stay afloat while she fights to recover.
This GoFundMe is here to cover immediate, real needs like rent, food, transportation, and basic living expenses so that her children are cared for, and Isabel can focus on healing without the weight of everything falling apart around her. And truly, any amount makes a difference, $5, $10, $20, these are not small. Every donation helps create stability during this critical time. It helps ensure her children are supported, keeps a roof over their heads, and gives Isabel a real chance to recover and return to them without everything collapsing in her absence. If you are unable to donate, sharing this with others can be just as impactful.
Thank you for taking the time to read, to care, and to support a family that truly needs it right now.
