My daughter Isabella, or as she was known by all, Izzy, was a sweet, kind, intelligent, and beautiful girl who showed incredible courage and strength throughout her young life in the face of her chronic illness. She developed Epilepsy at the age of 11, and despite the many setbacks she faced, Izzy never lost her determination or grit to push forward toward hope she could overcome this debilitating disease. Even on her lowest days, Izzy always found a way to get back up with a positive mindset towards fulfilling her future goals and dreams. The type of resilience that Izzy showed inspired everyone around her, from family, friends, and strangers that were fortunate to have met her. Even on her hardest days, Izzy was always willing to offer a smile and kind words that showed how strong of a person she was.

Tragically, at 17, Isabella passed away due to SUDEP. Our family is heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with her sudden loss. Isabella’s loving spirit touched everyone who knew her, and we want to honor her memory in the most meaningful way possible. We are grateful for the time we had with her, and we want to celebrate her life and the impact she made on so many people.
