Support Isabella's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Karlie, and I’m reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request. My dear friend April and her daughters, Isabella and Marlie, are facing a challenging time that no family should endure. I’m asking for your support, both through donations and prayers, as they navigate this difficult journey.

In August 2022, Isabella, who was just 15 years old at the time, was diagnosed with an aggressive and high-risk type of Papillary thyroid cancer. She was promptly referred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where she has been under their care ever since. Despite undergoing two surgeries and starting treatment in February 2023, the cancer persisted. By May 2024, it was clear that the initial treatments had not been successful, and new targeted chemotherapy was needed.

Since May, Isabella and April have been traveling to Memphis every two weeks for treatment and monitoring. As Isabella is a senior this year and was honored to be selected as a homecoming court maid, she chose to delay her next treatment to attend homecoming. After this event, Isabella will return to St. Jude for monitoring and treatment, with more trips scheduled for ongoing care. The road ahead involves many more months of treatment and monitoring, with a hopeful wait of a year and a half to assess its effectiveness while continuing to travel back and forth to Memphis, TN for checkups, scans, and consultations during this 1.5 years.

April has been out of work since May, struggling to find a job that accommodates the demanding schedule required for Isabella’s treatments. While St. Jude has been an incredible support, covering medical expenses and providing accommodations, the family is still facing significant financial strain. Bills, living expenses, and daily necessities are an ongoing challenge.

I am asking for your help to ease this burden. Any contributions will go directly to April, Isabella, and Marlie to help cover essential costs and support them during this trying time. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference.
