Hi Everyone,
My name is Isabella, and I am currently a Liberal Studies Major at Fresno Pacific University. I have been given an incredible opportunity to study abroad in Ireland this June! Being given the chance to travel to Ireland and work with children would be such a surreal experience. As someone who is passionate about education and hopes to work with children in the future, this trip is more than just travel; it is a chance to grow personally, professionally, and culturally.
While in Ireland, I will have the opportunity to engage with children in educational and community settings. Experiencing another country's education system firsthand will broaden my understanding of how children learn across cultures. This will also be my very first time leaving the country, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful to me. I know it will challenge me in ways that help me grow — stepping outside of my comfort zone, learning from new perspectives, and building connections with children and families from a different background.
I believe that some of the best teachers are the ones who never stop learning, and I want to be that kind of educator. My heart has always been drawn to working with kids — encouraging them, supporting them, and helping them believe in themselves. Being able to do that in another country is something I never imagined would be possible at this stage in my life. I hope to bring back not only new teaching strategies and cultural understanding, but also a deeper sense of empathy and confidence that will shape the way I serve students in the future.
As a full-time college student, this is a big financial step for me. I’m working hard and saving what I can, but I could really use some help to make this opportunity possible. Any donation, no matter the amount, would truly mean so much to me.
Gratefully,
Isabella ❤️
