Support Isabella's Dreams
On August 10th, my brother Michael passed away at age 33. He was found by his wife unresponsive on their bathroom floor. She and paramedics performed CPR, but there was nothing anyone could do to save him. We do not know the cause of death. We are waiting for laboratory results, but I fear we may never know. He had just gotten a physical. He exercised; never smoked or drank alcohol.
He was the best father in the world. His baby, Isabella, is only 10 months old—he was so protective of her. He had just begun work as a pediatrician in San Diego. He had devoted his life to healing and caring for young children. He made a positive impact on a lot of children and parents, but there was so much more good he could have done, so much more to achieve, and a billion more smiles to share.
Ruth is an amazing mother. Both she and Isabella will have an extensive support system of friends and family to help them at every turn forever.
I have teamed up with Michael's best friends to create this GoFundMe that will help Isabella reach her future goals. All of the proceeds will be put into a low-risk investment account and gifted to Isabella in the future. Perhaps to help pay for college, maybe a down-payment on a house, or even a wedding. It's up to her and I think Michael would appreciate his community's support of Isabella. I know all he wanted was to give her everything.
NOTE: There was an earlier GoFundMe for Michael created by his dear friend and colleague, Yoseph. I asked him to take it down because I wanted to wait until family and close friends had been notified. If you previously donated, your donation was fully refunded. Apologies for the inconvenience and confusion this has caused. We are restarting Yoseph's caring support for Ruthie and Isabella.
You may share memories and pictures of Michael on his kudoboard here: https://www.kudoboard.com/boards/jkOVo2rv. We will print them out and add them to a guest book that will be at his memorial and treasured forever.
We will miss you Michael--and we will never forget you.
