Support Isaac’s Journey to Mental Health Recovery

My name is Kristal. My husband, Isaac, suffered a mental health collapse. It started out as burnout and slowly built up to where he could no longer function anymore. I started to notice small changes in his behavior over the past several months, and then in the middle of February, I noticed some drastic changes. He was becoming more withdrawn from our family and friends. He loved working on jigsaw puzzles, and he could no longer handle working on puzzles or Legos. He abandoned all of his hobbies. This moved on to him struggling to show me any form of affection. It got to the point that he was afraid to eat because he felt like he would contaminate his food. Isaac had to take a leave of absence from work for about 5 weeks due to the severity of his anxiety. Isaac tried doing individual counseling, meditation, and outpatient group therapy. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to work. Finally, at the end of March, things got so bad that we called the crisis hotline. The mental health professional advised us to bring Isaac to the Prairie St. John’s mental health hospital. Isaac spent 6 days doing inpatient. This did help Isaac become stable, but he will need to continue with counseling for OCD, and he will not be able to go back to work full-time for several months.
We are raising money to help pay for medical bills and lost wages for when he goes back part-time. (His leave was paid)
