After over a year of multiple appointments and procedures, Isaac was diagnosed with prostate cancer. A surgeon suggested he lose weight to have a better quality of life after surgery. He has persisted on his journey of weight loss, but a test in January showed the risk for spreading was intermediate. He then decided to have radiation therapy.
Everyone has asked how they could help us during this hurdle in our lives. The best way we could see is assisting financially. The thing is, money is the last thing we wish to ask our friends and family for. However, pride is before a fall, and the hurt we’d cause those who love us by not allowing their help outweighs any frustration or embarrassment we may feel by asking.
Thank you to all who are able to help with the cost of his appointments and treatment, also to anyone who doesn’t know us but loves the ones who love us. Cancer sucks, but we Dickersons have a fortress to fight with us.
